Role OverviewAs a Highway Labor w/CDL Highway Technician 1, you will perform hands-on maintenance of traffic and flagging, highway maintenance and repair work activities, and operate heavy equipment. You will work outdoors and be responsible for various tasks such as pothole patching, spread berm, repair guardrails, and litter pick-up. You will also perform snow and ice operations and respond to emergencies.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include operating basic equipment, performing general highway maintenance duties, and responding to emergencies. You will also be responsible for performing snow and ice control and related maintenance duties.

Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License at the appropriate level
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages, and fractions
- Ability to read, write, and speak common English vocabulary
- 3 months of training or experience in operation of basic equipment
