Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking a Highway Labor w/CDL Highway Technician 1 to perform various tasks related to highway maintenance, including operating heavy equipment, performing snow and ice operations, and performing general labor and maintenance functions.

The successful candidate will perform hands-on maintenance of traffic and flagging, highway maintenance and repair work activities, operate heavy equipment and hand tools, and perform snow and ice operations.

Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License at the appropriate level
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages, and fractions
- Ability to read, write, and speak common English vocabulary
- 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in the operation of basic equipment
