Job Description
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is seeking a Highway Patrol Electronic Technician 2 to install, repair, and maintain complex electronic and communication equipment. The successful candidate will work in Ohio State Highway Patrol facilities and vehicles, as well as at other state agencies, and must comply with federal and state regulations. The position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of two-year technical program in electronics or radio communications
  • 24 months of experience in electronics or radio communications position
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Obtaining a Federal Communications Commission – General Radio Telephone Operator’s License or Amateur Technician License within three months of hire date
