Role OverviewThe Manager, Health Information Management (HIM) & Privacy Officer is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the Health Information Management program for a California Critical Access Hospital (CAH), including associated rural health clinic or outpatient operations, as applicable.
What You Will Do
Directs day-to-day HIM operations, oversees the timely assembly, analysis, completion, scanning, indexing, quality review, deficiency management, and retention of paper and electronic health records, and ensures processes are in place to monitor medical-record completeness, authentication, timeliness, legibility, and content requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Health Information Management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Certification in Health Information Management (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and California privacy regulations
