Role OverviewJoin our restoration team as a Historic Carpenter, working alongside foremen and skilled craftsmen to repair, restore, and preserve historic woodwork and architectural elements. We provide paid training to help you develop the skills needed for the work.
What You Will Do
Main day-to-day responsibilities include carpentry experience, historic restoration experience, general framing and finish carpentry, reading drawings, measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing wood materials, and structural wood repair.

Requirements
- 2+ years of carpentry experience
- historic restoration experience preferred
- ability to read drawings and work from existing conditions
- ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install wood materials
- basic understanding of structural wood repair
- attention to detail and respect for historic materials
- ability to safely remove, repair, and reinstall historic woodwork, windows, and doors
- willingness to learn specialized restoration techniques
- ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the project foreman
- reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred, but not required
- ability to work at heights and outdoors in different seasons
- ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- willingness to travel as needed
