Job Description
The Health Information Tech I is responsible for securing and maintaining the patient's health record upon discharge from the hospital, verifying and ensuring receipt of all patient records, and assembling the documentation into the legal medical record.

Requirements

  • Experience with accurate alphabetic and numeric filing
  • One year hospital experience
  • Knowledge of terminal digit filing and medical terminology
  • Computer data entry with 10-key, with accurate typing speed of 35 wpm
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical terminology course
  • Background in business and office training
