Job Description
Role Overview

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to Head Start/Early Head Start. Support and serve as a resource to families, assessing their strengths, interests, and needs. Design and implement curriculum to meet child and family needs, encouraging cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with parents, encourage parental participation, and maintain accurate case records. Work as a liaison between referred families and the Department of Children & Families to protect rights from abuse and neglect. Serve as an active participant in program recruitment efforts and work in partnership with community agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in early childhood education, Human Services or related field
  • Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals
  • Excellent Customer Service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems
  • Excellent crisis management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Evidence of recent Mantoux test, physical exam, and MMR vaccine
  • CORI/DCF review prior to employment which includes fingerprinting
  • Reliable transportation is required
