Job Description
The Horizon RN Residency Program is a comprehensive new graduate RN on-boarding experience in an acute care pediatric setting at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The program provides a structured RN Residency Program that helps newly graduated nurses transition from student to professional nurses, and ensures their successful transition to the workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required at time of hire for all external candidates
  • RN - Registered Nurse RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
  • CPR BLS -American Heart Association BLS
  • PALS - American Heart Association PALS
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • ACLS - American Heart Association ACLS
  • CPI (Crisis Intervention Training) is preferred
  • National certified preferably within 2 years of hire
  • Functions as an IV champions within 6 months of hire
