Role OverviewAs a Daytime Hospitalist at Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center, you will manage and oversee the care of hospitalized patients, working closely with a Criticalist and specialty teams to provide comprehensive care for complex and critically ill patients.
What You Will Do
Manage hospitalized patients, perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor responses to treatment, and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated. Collaborate with emergency doctors, specialists, technicians, and support teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure
- ABVP board certification
- Experience and confidence managing hospitalized and medically complex patients
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Comfort working collaboratively with a Criticalist, emergency clinicians, specialists, and support teams
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach
