Role OverviewAs a Host Home / Shared Living Provider, you will provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment for an individual with mental health needs or behavioral health challenges. You will assist with daily living skills, transportation, and community activities, while helping the individual build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections within their community.
What You Will Do
Your primary responsibility is to provide guidance, support, and care while helping the individual work toward greater independence and a fulfilling life. You may assist with goals such as shopping and budgeting, cooking and meal preparation, personal hygiene, and developing coping and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Car insurance
- Current registration
- Active home/renters' insurance
- Age 18 or older
- Reside in the state of Iowa
- Private bedroom available for the person you will be sharing your home with
- State mandated training completion
- Environmentally safe and clean residence
- Ability to pass State/Federal and APS/CPS background check
- Reliable phone or computer with internet access
- Compliance with documentation policy
- Willingness to have staff come unannounced and announced for home visits
- Willingness to sign an agreement as a contractor and follow agreed-upon statutes
