Role OverviewThe Area Director of Sales and Marketing has direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk and the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk. The ADOSM has responsibility of the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings.
What You Will Do
Supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. Recruit and hire sales staff, train, manage, and coach sales managers in their selling process to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor both the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and the management of retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts.
Requirements
- 6 years or more of progressive hotel Sales experience (typically with Hyatt)
- 3 years in a Director level position in hotel Sales
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Demonstrated history of success
- Results driven, energetic, and focused
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Intermediate or expert skill level in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite of products, and hotel-based computer programs and reports such as Envision, Pro, PAW, STR, and CVENT.
