Job Description
The Director of Event Management will oversee the supervision of all staff, functions, and standards for Event Planning, Event Sales, and Event Services. Areas of emphasis include on-going training of staff and other administrative duties.
Requirements
6 years or more of progressive hotel Event Sales and Planning experience (typically with Hyatt)
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
At least 3 years experience in a senior role in Event Sales/Planning environment
Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
Must possess high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
