Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel event sales/event planning experience
  • Completed Event Management trainee program or comparable experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience
  • General computer knowledge and programs
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to handle a fast paced environment
  • Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations
  • Experience in creative development of marketing concepts, custom proposals and promotional events to increase local event sales
  • Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all operational departments within the hotel
  • Knowledge of meeting room set-ups and capabilities, sleeping room configurations and types
