Role OverviewAs a Housekeeping Attendant at UT Southwestern, you will be essential to the day-to-day operations of the hospital system. You will work in a large department with growth opportunities in both Zale Lipshy and Clements University Hospitals. Various shifts are available, including overnight, day, and mid shifts, as well as PRN (per re nata, as needed), Part Time (benefits eligible), and Full Time (benefits eligible).
What You Will Do
Your main responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining patient care, staff, and visitor areas, performing terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms, dusting furniture, woodwork, equipment, and dust-mopping floors, gathering and disposing of trash and waste materials, wet-mopping rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas, and attending educational programs and in-service meetings as required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read/write and speak English, and previous experience in housekeeping functions is preferred but not required. You will also need to be able to work a SECOND SHIFT ONLY: 3pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends and working holidays.
