Role OverviewThe Security & Gate House Operator is responsible for monitoring all inbound and outbound traffic, operating the scale system, and maintaining accurate data in the scale program. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good time-management, planning, and organizational skills. The operator will be the first point of contact for all emergencies on the property and will provide written reports 24 hours a day.
What You Will Do
The individual will be responsible for monitoring and recording all ingress and egress of the location, controlling all lanes of traffic, and observing and reporting unsafe drivers. They will also monitor alarm panels, fire pump, and camera security systems, and provide written reports on fire, ambulance, disgruntled employees, and suspicious activity.

The role requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The operator will work in a fast-paced processing plant and/or a transportation facility environment, and will be expected to provide excellent customer service and efficient communication.
