Job Description
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily tasks of the Housekeeping team, with responsibilities including training and coaching, payroll, scheduling, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to assist Executive Housekeeper with the scheduling of staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
  • Ability to implement departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Ability to train and supervise Housekeeping staff.
  • Ability to inspect all guest rooms and ensure each passes Bunkhouse standards.
  • Ability to implement standards and procedures to consistently conduct an accurate inventory.
  • Ability to monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding lodging facilities.
  • Ability to ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Ability to adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction.
  • Ability to ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition.
  • Ability to maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property.
  • Ability to keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to attend relevant meetings.
