Houseperson

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms, corridors, staircases, and closets. They will work with housekeepers to distribute linen and supplies, and perform tasks such as stripping vacant rooms, restocking storage closets, and cleaning ice machines.

What You Will Do

The Houseperson will be responsible for tasks such as distributing linen and supplies, stripping vacant rooms, restocking storage closets, cleaning ice machines, sweeping and mopping corridors, and maintaining the cleanliness of staircases and floors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
• Ability to count
• Ability to perform assigned tasks with attention to detail, essential speed and accuracy
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
• Ability to distribute linen and supplies to guests and housekeepers in a timely manner
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner
• Strong positive attitude and the ability to greet every guest politely
• Ability to follow through with a task
