Role OverviewReviews applications for funding of projects and developments, ensuring financial viability and compliance with federal and state rules. Provides technical assistance, training, and guidance to participants on program requirements and possibilities. Maintains databases and researches legal and technical issues to update program rules and guidelines.
What You Will Do
Evaluate applications, process paperwork, provide input on program rules and guidance, and assist in training and guidance to participants. Review professionally developed statistical housing data and market analysis information, and assist in preparing materials for Agency board meetings.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the various programs administered by the Housing Development, and be able to interpret policies, regulations, and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, consultants, contractors, HUD, and local, State, and federal officials is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Management, or Accounting
- Eight years' experience in underwriting single-family or multifamily housing and ensuring compliance with federal and state rules and regulations
- Housing Development Finance Professional Certification within eighteen months after hire
- Valid driver's license
- Must be bondable
