Job Description
Role Overview

The Housing Program Specialist will assist with all functions of SEICAA's Housing division, serving as a point of contact for tenants and participants, enforcing leases and policies, and maintaining records. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team. The Housing Program Specialist will also perform clerical duties, update calendars, and perform other tasks as assigned.

What You Will Do

The Housing Program Specialist will act as a point of contact for SEICAA's HSG division, share information with tenants and participants, collect payments, enforce leases and policies, and maintain records. The role also involves generating and distributing memos and letters, handling mail, and performing clerical duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Rental Housing experience preferred
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred
  • Knowledge of case management or willingness to learn it
  • Knowledge of HUD, Fair Housing requirements, HOME and COC policies and guidelines or willingness to learn them
  • Knowledge of HMIS, EIV, HAP, and TRACS reporting and applicable software systems or willingness to learn them
  • Knowledge of administrative, clerical, and office practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Computer skills
  • Familiarity with typical office technologies
  • Clerical skills (filing, recordkeeping, data entry, compliance, etc.)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Organized, attention to detail, and punctual
  • Self-directed; Can work independently and in a team
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with effective time management skills
