Role Overview

As a Housing Resource Navigator, you will support individuals facing homelessness or housing insecurity by providing guidance and resources to help them obtain safe, stable housing. You will work with a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include meeting with participants, providing guidance, and connecting them with social service resources and programs. You will also track participant progress and commit to your own growth through training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
