Role Overview

Join Heading Home Corps as a Housing Resource Navigator and support people facing homelessness or housing insecurity. You'll spend your days at a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance.

What You Will Do

You'll regularly meet with participants and provide guidance as they navigate resources, set housing-related goals, and develop action plans. With individually tailored support, you'll help people as they build brighter futures!

Requirements

  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
