Job Description
Under direct supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of NYCHA's storerooms across all Boroughs, including organizing and labeling shelves, receiving and storing materials, operating equipment, and maintaining inventory records.

Requirements

  • Organize and label shelves for all inventory items
  • Receive, inspect, check, store distribute and care for material, supplies and equipment
  • Pack, unpack, count, weight and measure materials, supplies and equipment
  • Load and unload at the storage facility and at the point of pick-up, delivery or distribution
  • Operate elevator, electric transport, lift trucks and other necessary equipment to load and unload supplies
  • Check materials received against invoices, packing lists, bills of loading
  • Pick supplies from shelves to fill requisitions
  • Keep storage facilities clean and orderly
  • Maintain perpetual inventories and detail inventory records
  • Work in Maximo
  • Conduct Cycle Counts
  • Ensure merchandise is stored in an orderly manner and is easily accessible when store shelves need to be replenished
