Job Description
TxDOT’s Human Resources Division is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR Generalist to join our team in Odessa. HR Generalists play a key role in supporting employees and leadership through a wide range of human resources functions. The role involves helping employees with benefits, coordinating wellness initiatives, hiring top talent, conducting new employee orientation, managing employee data, administering leave programs, handling employee relations issues, interpreting policy, talent development, training, delivering presentations, and visiting field offices across the Odessa District’s twelve counties.

Requirements

  • Participates in hiring program activities
  • Conducts new employee orientation
  • Maintains data using a Human Resources Information Management System
  • Prepares and explains correspondence, reports, forms, and transactions
  • Files and maintains employment applications, personnel records and related files
  • Generates and analyzes automated reports regarding human resources activities
