Role OverviewThe HR Manager will serve as a member of the Operations team to ensure a consistent and smooth process for new staff, and proper support and guidance for existing staff and contractors. The HR Manager will report to the Operations Director.
What You Will Do
Support the distribution and maintenance of organizational HR policies; coordination and maintenance of employee benefits packages; ensures a successful recruitment, onboarding and orientation process; maintains existing and creates new personnel files; communicates with the leadership team when staff renewable requirements are due; serves as the HR point of contact for general inquiries; supports HR functions for the organization and ensures timely communication to staff.

Requirements

- Outstanding project management skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills through a variety of channels, including written and oral
- Experience working with diverse teams and understanding of organizational culture
- At least three to five years of relevant work experience as an employee, ideally, at a mission-driven organization
- Experience with Paylocity, Paychex, or a similar HRIS
- Demonstrated experience with ethical and sound decision-making
- Experience working in an organization with unionized staff
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification, or equivalent education and experience
