Job Description
DPSCS is seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to administer HR programs and perform professional HR work in the State Personnel Management System (SPMS). The ideal candidate will have experience in HR management, recruitment, and employee relations, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.

Requirements

  • Four years of professional HR management work experience in the areas of recruitment, classification, salary administration, employee relations, test development and validation, or as a generalist
  • Experience using Workday and/or a similar HRIS system
  • Experience reviewing, approving, and processing employee leave requests
  • Experience coordinating and administering employee health and retirement benefits
  • Certification in State Personnel Management System policies and procedures and in the functionality of the Statewide Personnel System from the Office of Personnel Services and Benefits, Maryland Department of Budget and Management
