Role Overview

The HSE Coordinator position is responsible for engaging a culture of safety throughout the campus by educating and influencing leaders to enhance safety as part of the normal course of business. The role involves providing management support in the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of safety policies, programs, and training; promoting safety for all employees and compliance with legal regulations and department policies.

What You Will Do

The HSE Coordinator will plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs. They will develop and conduct occupational safety training for all employees, including evaluation and modification of programs to meet state and federal OSHA requirements. The role also involves maintaining all HSE training records, notifying managers of training requirements and deficiencies, and scheduling training as needed to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience and/or training directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other federal safety standards, principles, practices, and techniques
