Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Human Capital Management Analyst to assist the personnel director at Belmont Correctional Institution. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in human resources, or completion of an undergraduate core program in human resources, business, or public administration, or 1 year of experience as a Human Capital Management Associate. The position involves composing and processing personnel actions, preparing position descriptions, maintaining tables of organization, and coordinating performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Composing and processing personnel actions
  • Preparing and updating position descriptions
  • Maintaining tables of organization
  • Scheduling interviews and participating in preliminary screening and/or interviewing of applicants
  • Assisting with preparing responses to requests for reasonable accommodation
  • Coordinating, tracking processes, approving and advising regarding performance evaluations
  • Assisting with employee recognition and employee wellness programs
  • Reviewing and recommending changes to institutional policies and procedures for compliance with human resources rules and regulations
  • Assisting employees in completion of off-work paperwork and posting leave requests through the leave cases in Kronos
  • Tracking and monitoring off-work claims
  • Processing leave requests and advising employees regarding Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Processing payroll for off-work programs
  • Assisting employees with identifying, completing and/or faxing forms and applications
  • Preparing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reports as needed
  • Assisting personnel director or other administrative staff on special projects, assignments and reports
  • Responding to routine correspondence from employees
  • Assisting with gathering documentation for audits, grievances, lawsuits and requests for public information
  • Assisting with the maintenance of employee personnel and private files
  • Ensuring files are retained and disposed of in accordance with record retention schedules
  • Monitoring OPERS electronic contributions
  • Coordinating data for ACA and other audits
  • Completing employment verification, letters regarding wages for child support and deferred compensation forms
  • Assisting in conducting orientation sessions for new employees
  • Representing agency/institution at human resources meetings and/or trainings, on behalf of or in addition to supervisor
  • Attending meetings, training sessions and conferences
