Role OverviewThe Human Resource Partner serves as the primary HR contact for assigned divisions, providing day-to-day support and strategic guidance on all Office of Human Resources (OHR) services. This includes recruitment and selection, job descriptions and classification, position management, compensation, performance management and discipline, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), workers’ compensation, early return to work, safety, labor relations, training, EEO/Civil Rights, ADA, and related policy.
What You Will Do
You will work closely with division leadership to identify patterns and opportunities across HR services, recommend and implement practical system-level improvements, and help resolve persistent issues such as recruitment and retention challenges or classification concerns.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, human resources, journalism, English, psychology, marketing, or related.
- Three years of job-related work experience involving HR services such as classification, compensation, recruitment and selection, performance management, interpreting employment policy and law, labor relations, or related field.
- Current State of Montana Classification Certification, or completing certification within 1 year of employment.
