Job Description
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of deceased persons in New York City, focusing on cases of mortality caused by crime, accident, suicide, or sudden illness. CARES promotes public health and justice through forensic science and medicine, serving as a resource for families and communities during difficult times. The Human Resources & Labor Relations Unit provides administrative support to various departments.
Requirements
Associate degree in secretarial science, word processing, office automation or office technology, or high school diploma with equivalent recognition.
2+ years of full-time general secretarial experience or 1+ year of full-time legal secretarial experience.
Typing speed of at least 55 words per minute, or typing and stenographic skills.
