Role OverviewThe Director of HR leads all Human Resources activities for a Regional Business Unit, covering Canada, US and Mexico. The HR Director serves as a strategic partner to the business unit leadership team and works closely with management to develop and implement HR strategies that are consistent with the Regional and Global HR direction.
What You Will Do
Develop, implement and execute the BU HR strategy and HR program delivery, including organization design, talent and workforce planning. Advise leaders and drives the execution of strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 7 years working in the field. Strong knowledge of employment laws and experience leading strategic HR projects that impact an entire organization is required.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- 7 years working in the field
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong knowledge of employment laws
- Proven experience leading strategic HR projects
- Expertise in talent development, performance management, and employee engagement strategies
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred
- Industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience effectively leading change management exercises
- Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous business environments and deliver results
- Ability to inspire a team
