Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing human resources programmatic and operational support to the agency, including staffing and recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, and HRIS maintenance. This is a contract position with a long-term contract.

Requirements

  • Review and provide guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on work-related issues
  • Maintain training programs and ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Facilitate the agency's performance management and professional development process
  • Maintain HRIS system and ensure employee files meet federal and state standards
  • Coordinate the agency's recruiting process
  • Investigate claims of serious health conditions and make recommendations
  • Administer the agency's benefit plan and compensation plan
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Manage the Texas Workforce Commission unemployment process
  • Investigate work-related injury claims
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all agency staff
