Role Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for all employment-related duties, including interviewing, hiring, benefits administration, and maintaining HR reports and records. The role will involve working with managers, employees, and legal counsel on HR-related matters. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience as an HR generalist and a four-year college degree.

What You Will Do

The duties and responsibilities of the HR Generalist include direct phases of employment, administering employee benefits, serving as a primary source of contact for HR-related matters, and maintaining HR reports and records. The role also involves assisting with the payroll process biweekly and maintaining personnel files.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an HR generalist
  • Four-year college degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate (proficient in MS Word)
  • BS degree in HR Administration (preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional journals, operating and maintenance instructions, regulatory laws and manuals, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
