Job Description
Role Overview

The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations, including policy administration, staffing support, and employee orientation. This position requires a high degree of organization, planning, and accuracy.

What You Will Do

The HR Generalist will partner with hiring managers, maintain electronic personnel files, ensure compliance with I9 completion and retention, and process employment actions. They will also provide communication and facilitation of the annual benefit open enrollment process and assist with internal investigations.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Training. PHR certification is preferred.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or related field
  • 2 years Human Resources/ Payroll/Training experience
  • PHR certification preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to manage simple to complex situations
  • Ability to think analytically and resourcefully draw accurate conclusions
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Basic knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and law
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, staffing processes, and HRIS systems and report capabilities
  • Ability to promote and foster diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to use an array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access
