Role OverviewThe Human Resources Manager / Office Manager will own the people and workplace functions that allow the company to scale, building the HR infrastructure and running the day-to-day operation of a growing engineering office and lab facility. The role is broad and requires a mix of HR generalist and office management responsibilities.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the full employee lifecycle, running recruiting operations, administering payroll and benefits, owning HR compliance and records, administering the performance and compensation cycle, and owning the office and facility. The role also requires building and maintaining systems and process documentation, planning and running company events, and being a visible steward of culture.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of combined human resources generalist and office or workplace management experience, including time at a company under 100 employees. They will have hands-on ownership of payroll and benefits administration, working knowledge of federal and Virginia employment law, and demonstrated discretion handling compensation, personnel, medical, and investigative information.
