Job Description
Role Overview

HDR is looking for a dynamic human resources professional to ensure the fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures, handle employee relations and performance management, and oversee the annual performance conversation review process. The role requires a strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' Human Resources experience, a Bachelor's degree, and A/E or construction industry experience.

What You Will Do

The Human Resources Manager will ensure the fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures, handle general employee relations and performance management questions or issues, and oversee the annual performance conversation review process. The role also involves preparing, overseeing, and managing Affirmative Action Plans, understanding basic HDR benefit plan provisions, and assisting with employees' benefit-related questions. Additionally, the Human Resources Manager will participate in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns and complaints, develop and present training programs, and coordinate requested compensation market studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years' Human Resources experience
  • A/E or construction industry experience
  • PHR, SHPR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and ability to work within a variety of different systems
  • Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • High proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong client service ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Experience leading and attending performance conversations
  • Ability to facilitate employee training
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time
