Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to lead design/build and retrofit project development. This is a technical role focused on originating and developing custom mechanical solutions for building owners in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.

What You Will Do

Design and develop original HVAC and process cooling system designs, perform load calculations, and produce design drawings and supporting documentation. Prepare detailed project estimates and develop clear proposals. Provide technical support to field and office teams during project execution.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and field experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in HVAC design/build work in commercial, industrial, or institutional environments
  • Proficiency in load calculation and equipment selection software (HAP, Trace 700, or equivalent)
  • Experience producing design drawings using CAD or similar tools
  • Strong estimating skills, with the ability to accurately quantify equipment, material, and labor costs
  • Solid working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASHRAE and local mechanical codes
