Role Overview

As an HVAC Technician II, you will install, troubleshoot, and startup commercial HVAC equipment, including commercial DX equipment, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, and more. You will work exclusively at the Bon Secours Roper St. Francis Hospital facility in Charleston, SC. This is a full-time position that requires 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience and a valid driver's license.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include installing, troubleshooting, and starting up commercial HVAC equipment, logging HVAC equipment, driving and picking up equipment and parts, communicating with team members and customers, and completing assigned tasks with minimal call-backs.

Requirements

  • Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems
  • Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process
  • Understands mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
  • Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
  • 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Universal EPA Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
  • Ability to write reports
  • Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
