Job Description
Leidos is seeking a talented Hypersonics Design Engineer to support multiple projects as part of the Advanced Materials Department. The position will oversee design and analysis of structures and mechanisms related to hypersonic vehicles, with a focus on engineering design and analysis for fabrication, integration of prototypes, development of components, and special test equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • 2-4 years experience
  • Proficient in industry CAD softwares (CREO, SolidWorks) for both 3D modeling and 2D drawings
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T, per ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack analysis
  • Understanding of how tolerancing affects part manufacturing and inspection
  • Familiarity with ASME and ASTM material standards, MIL standards
  • Experience working within a product lifecycle management tool (Windchill)
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
