Role OverviewThe ICU Charge Nurse provides clinical leadership during assigned shifts by coordinating patient care, delegating duties, supporting staff, and ensuring high-quality, age-appropriate care. This role serves as a key clinical resource while promoting accountability, teamwork, and excellent patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
Coordinate and oversee patient care during assigned shifts, serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, delegate responsibilities and ensure quality patient outcomes, assess patient care needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions, promote a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

Requirements
- Current Alabama RN license
- BSN preferred
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of ICU, triage, and urgent care practices
- Case management or outpatient experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to complete hospital-based ACLS and PALS within one year of employment
