Job Description
Implementation Manager will assist and provide technical oversight / guidance to local property engineering teams through project management and task tracking activities. The role will coordinate the deployment and installation of equipment and infrastructure within a data center or colocation environment, ensuring deployments are completed on time, on budget, and error-free.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in the deployment of fixtures and infrastructure in a raised floor data center environment
  • Expert level knowledge of rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required
  • PMP certification preferred
  • BCSI or other data center specific certifications desired
  • Expert level proficiency in the use of MS Productivity tools, including Word, Access, Excel, Visio
  • Expert level proficiency with project management software
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting
  • Proven ability to project manage effectively, and to take corrective action when needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to make effective presentations and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers and the general public
  • Ability to track costs for all projects, using purchase orders and other tracking methods
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems involving several options with limited information
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and to work independently
  • Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical facilities environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures
