Job Description
The Import Buyer will be responsible for strategically replenishing warehouses, executing a queue of purchasing activity, and aligning with suppliers to meet inventory levels and quality performance standards. This role is a strategic position within the Import Supply Chain management team, responsible for achieving/improving/exceeding targeted inventory levels on both a quantity and cost basis.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of purchasing experience preferred
  • International/Import buying experience preferred
  • Analytical skills with the ability to use Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of negotiations and ability to pursue a predefined result
  • Ability to respond to multiple needs and priorities
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and/or basic ordering principles
  • Experience in demand planning, purchasing, freight, or warehousing
