Import Specialist

Requirements

• Accurate and timely processing of shipments
• Creation of customs entries through proper selection of client and client records
• Data entry of shipment information for release, rating and billing
• Correct value for duty reporting based on invoice details and terms of sale
• Establishment of correct value for duty and tariff treatment
• Verification of documentation for release conditions, compliance and rating compliance
• Utilization of system automation tools for release processing
• Opening of file/data input for new shipments in relevant systems
• Coordination and preparation of entry summary as needed
• Monitoring of status of Customs and PGA releases
• Adherence to SOP's and business rules
• Research and response to requests for information from team or traffic
• Prioritization and completion of work according to production supervisor direction
• Maintenance of effective relationship with clients, carriers, forwarders, Customs, etc.
• Adherence to established policies and procedures
