Job Description
The City of New York is seeking an In-House Inspector to join the Elevator Operations Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Department of Buildings and ECB conveyance equipment violations, tracking and maintaining records of Local Law 10/81, and conducting yearly tests of all elevators and escalators.

Requirements

  • Seven years of full-time satisfactory experience working at a construction trade or working as an inspector of construction, hoists and rigging, plumbing, boilers, or elevators;
  • At least 18 months of experience in a managerial or administrative capacity;
  • Ability to pass a background check
