Role OverviewEurofins Scientific is seeking a passionate and dedicated In Vitro Disease Modeling and Functional Genomics Scientist to work directly on the client site in Cambridge, MA. The candidate will collaborate with scientists from multiple therapeutic areas and support the client’s dynamic and innovative early discovery research environment.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include developing stem cell-based in vitro disease platforms, performing laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and communicating findings clearly. The ideal candidate shall have excellent lab skills, strong documentation skills, ability to analyze and summarize data to draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate shall have a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific discipline with 1-3 years of wet lab experience, proficiency in cell culture, stem cell differentiation, and in vitro disease model development, and expertise in molecular biology techniques.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in a related scientific discipline
- 1-3 years of wet lab experience
- Proficiency in cell culture, stem cell differentiation, and in vitro disease model development
- Experience with gene manipulation methods, including CRISPR, siRNA, ASOs, lentiviral systems, and AAVs
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques, including RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA/MSD, and ICC
- Experience with FLIPR and Seahorse OCR platforms
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to develop experimental strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
