Role OverviewThe Indirect Category Manager will be responsible for the complete management of the supplier(s) strategy, performance, cost out program and inventory levels within a specified Category. Collaboration within each of G&W’s (5) Global locations to ensure the category strategy aligns with the goals of each business.
What You Will Do
Conduct local and global market analysis, market intelligence, sourcing strategies, etc. Be responsible for the implementation and development of cost reduction plans on a world-wide basis. Maintain and expand global sourcing opportunities as well as identify and select quality competitive suppliers for multiple locations.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in category or commodity management/supply chain management in a manufacturing setting required. Experience in a “make to order” or “engineer to order” manufacturing environment preferred.
Requirements
- Previous experience with Information Technology, Human Resources and Capital Equipment categories highly desired.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills; MS Powerpoint
- Strong analytical skills; ability to identify root cause
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operation or similar discipline required.
- Previous experience in category or commodity management/supply chain management in a manufacturing setting required
- Experience in a “make to order” or “engineer to order” manufacturing environment preferred
- APICS or ISM certification a plus
- Experience with building presentations for an executive audience a plus
