Role OverviewSteel Dynamics, Inc. is expanding and adding positions for Industrial Electricians in the Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia. The company is a Fortune 500 leader in the steel industry, recognized for its corporate governance and employer reputation.
What You Will Do
Install, adjust, modify, and repair mill electrical, electronic, automation, and drive equipment. Troubleshoot electrical problems, including instrumentation and AC/DC motor controls.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and computer skills, and experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting are required. Experience as a HVAC electrical tech/service tech is encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Industrial experience
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
- Thorough knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of AC & DC drive installation, programming, and troubleshooting
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
