Role OverviewAn Industrial Electrician at CMC will work in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and performing maintenance tasks. The role involves working with various forms of manufacturing equipment, providing technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel, and maintaining a thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The Industrial Electrician will work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools, and personal knowledge. Perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, PLC networks, and cranes. Maintain a thorough and working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and how they operate.

Requirements

- Ability to think logically, analytically and solve problems
- AC/DC troubleshooting experience required
- Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency
- Knowledge of the melting, casting and rolling process and related equipment preferred
- Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience preferred
- MRO system; SAP system experience preferred
- Must have experience with and the ability to demonstrate electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques including a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- NFPA 70E requirements preferred
- Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Thorough understanding of electrical safe work practices
- Work rotating shifts which include weekends and holidays
