Role OverviewThe Technician A is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and industrial machinery, using advanced knowledge of schematics, PLC programming, and safety protocols. They perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and collaborate with operators and mechanics to ensure efficient production.
What You Will Do
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, replace faulty electrical components, troubleshoot and repair printers, metal detectors, scales, filler systems, etc.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess mechanical aptitude in an industrial setting, ability to read and draw electrical blueprints and schematics, advanced understanding of electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, ability to work with a little supervision, and basic understanding of machine and line operation and requirements for an acceptable product.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology or related course work
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or electrical equipment maintenance
- Forklift Certification
- Maintenance Certification (CMRT or ETA)
- OSHA 10/30-Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED
