Role OverviewThe Technician – Maintenance 1 is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of products by troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures.
What You Will Do
Perform preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, make repairs or adjustments to equipment as needed, and train team members on mechanical processes.

Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 0-3 months related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledge of various mechanical processes is necessary (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc)
- Ability to work with all functional team members
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Responsible for providing basic tools including basic metric and standard wrenches, sockets, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, pry bars
- Knowledge of using metric and standard wrenches, sockets, and allen wrenches as well as ability to drill and tap holes
