Role Overview

Schaeffler is seeking Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) Apprentices to join its Connecticut Registered Apprenticeship Program in support of aerospace manufacturing operations. This role combines paid on-the-job learning (OJL) with related technical instruction (RTI) to develop the skills required for a career in advanced industrial maintenance within a highly regulated aerospace environment.

What You Will Do

Perform maintenance tasks under the direction of a qualified mentor, conduct routine, corrective, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance, foundational knowledge or exposure to CNC machining equipment and PLC systems preferred, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools, willingness to work at elevated heights and obtain aerial lift certification, ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
